Libraries are just books though right? Negative.
Your local library offers so many services that you probably didn’t even consider…books (Duh…), but your local library has been offering tons of things for your community. Video Game, Movies, and Music Rentals, free internet, children’s play areas, crafting spaces, story times, yoga classes, senior device advice (older generation and having difficulty with modern tech?), maybe your need help with your resume or applying for jobs…and just SO MUCH MORE I can barely list all of services here.
Because of COVID-19, these libraries have all been closed until further notice…but the librarians at your local library are working hard to make sure you and your kids are entertained and mentally engaged with digital story times, songs, and even yoga courses. Most if not all of them are on their social media pages, so make sure to give them a follow and check out all the great social distancing options they are presenting to you!
Take advantage of some of these great programs…your kids are probably cooped up in the house with you and you’re probably tired of 9000 episodes of Peppa Pig. Instead, check out what your local library if offering digitally and enjoy a good book with individuals right in your community!
