Going through my annual look up of upcoming movies, and this one popped up.
A new movie starring Woody Harrelson named ‘Champions’ is coming to theaters soon on March 10th right? The movie is also headed by one of the Farrely brothers, who is responsible for movies like Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, those kind of comedies.
Two of the highlights though are, it follows a down on his luck basketball coach which ends up doing community service by coaching a special needs basketball team, which actually features actors that are special needs…which is super awesome.
The other thing? It’s apparently based in Iowa!
Yea, just watch the trailer and you’ll see the team names being Iowa here and there. However after some small research, the film was actually filmed in Manitoba, Canada.
So I guess Manitoba is Canadian Iowa.
