While I do come in to the station to do my show, I do the show prep portion of my show from home!

In an effort to help ‘flatten the curve’ of the spread of COVID-19, I decided (and also recommended by my superiors), that I do my ‘show prep’ from home in my boxers. Why in my boxers? Cause damn man, I’m at home…pants are for outside the house!

Many of you are probably working from home during this time, or staying out of the workplace as much as you possibly can…so that means you probably have changed A LOT of things than what you normally do to get ready in the morning! So, I figured I would share what I do during my version of the morning routine.

  • Wake up at 8:15am and open front window curtains, feed cats, refill humidifier
  • Chug 2 glasses of water, take multivitamin & Omega-3
  • Do 30-45 minutes of DDP Yoga (Which for me, has proved very fruitful…I do suggest it)
  • Skip Breakfast usually.
  • Immediately shower, piss out all the water I drank.
  • Clothes and pet cat, cause otherwise she won’t shut up about it.
  • Sit on couch for about 15 mins and scroll through phone
  • Head to my office area, begin show prep.
  • Leave at 12:30 to head to station, sometimes stop by Kwik Star to get a Cappuccino.

I know it’s not the easiest thing in the world to do a 30-45 minute workout in the morning, but if you plan ahead for it and start working it into your morning routine? It’s much easier. For the longest time I did workouts AFTER work, and 7 out of 10 times? I would not do the workout.
