It’s where a kid probably can’t be a kid anymore.
When you were young, did you venture to your friends birthday party at Chuck E Cheese? Showbiz Pizza? Or maybe you brought your kids to Chuck E Cheese to dink around with the games and have some fun. Well probably not anymore, as Chuck E Cheese company has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy…mind you Chap. 11 doesn’t necessarily mean that it is closing, they are renegotiating debt.
The current pandemic is what put the nail in the coffin for old Chuck and his pizza theater, which I haven’t been to one in years so I have no idea what they look like anymore. Is everything just ticket games now? It once was an ACTUAL arcade of just video games, which was always a lot of fun…nowadays I’m sure you have to spend a jillion dollars to get enough tickets to buy an eraser.
The only remaining Chuck E. Cheese restaurants I can locate in the Eastern Iowa area are in Cedar Falls and Davenport.
