I welcome this reno.
5 years ago when I moved to Iowa, specifically into Waterloo…I always saw this convention center right in the middle of town named ‘5 Sullivan Brothers Convention Center.’ I’ve been in it a couple of times and in my opinion, it looks dated and is in very much of need of a renovation of some sort. The area NEEDS some kind of great looking place that could hold cool conventions! Hell there are plenty of hotels, breweries, and restaurants to offer a growing population.
A couple of days ago, the Convention Center posted some really great looking pictures of what their current renovation is going to look like!

Definitely a great update to the outside, and they are also giving the same treatment to the inside too!
I really hope at some point like…a comic convention, gaming convention, or maybe even a craft beer convention could take place there! With the new hotels and renovated center? I feel like there is more possibility for that now!
