After months of leaks, it’s finally official.

If you have a Nintendo Switch in your house or you JUST got one for Christmas…the nex-gen of Switch is coming soon as Nintendo has announced the successor to Switch, named ‘Switch 2.’

Now before you get all angry that you JUST BOUGHT A SWITCH…..don’t worry, you Nintendo Switch games will be backwards compatible with Switch 2. However I would say in the next few years, Nintendo Switch games will be exclusively made for this thing.

Nintendo didn’t mention anything when it came to specs for the console, but at first glance it is just more of the same with plenty of physical upgrades to boot.

From what I gather from the video:

-Joycons are now connected via USB and magnet

-Joycons are larger and the analog sticks are fixed

-It’s backwards compatible with all your Switch games

-A new kickstand that can lay nearly flat

-A charging port ON TOP of the console

-Bigger screen

-New dock

-Triggers are more useful, and maybe pressure sensitive?

All will be official revealed when Nintendo gives a full presentation on April 4th, a full 3 months from now and is set to release sometime this year. Knowing Nintendo, probably the holiday season.
