Iowa is 40th ‘Grossest State’ According to Survey….So That’s Nice

So what makes a state…gross?.

According to a survey, out of the 50 states here in the US? We rank as 40….phew…at least we’re not #1 right?

The survey conducted by Zippia, ranked each state by the following criteria.

Dirty air, trash (percentage of each state that is a landfill), and spread of illness like the flu. But also in cultural factors with Google searches like Croc wearing and mayo recipes. 

So who ranked as top 10?

1. Virginia
2. S. Carolina
3. N. Carolina
4. Pennsylvania
5. Texas
6. New Jersey
7. Connecticut
8. Georgia
9. Delaware
10. New York

The least grossest state? Alaska.
