I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I JUST found out what ‘Cooler Corn” is. I even grew up in Nebraska! Why haven’t I heard of this before??
If you’re in the dark like I was, here’s what Cooler Corn is:
A big ass cooler is cleaned then filled with shucked ears. Next, two kettles-full of boiling water are poured over the corn and the top closed. 30 minutes later open it, and the corn will be perfectly cooked!

You clean out a big cooler, then fill it with shucked ears. Next, pour 2-3 kettles of boiling water on the corn and close the cooler lid. Open it about 30 minutes later, and the corn is cooked perfectly!
